A friend at church offered to hold a dance camp, for six classes over three weeks this July at her house, for a super deal. I thought it was perfect for the girls since Miss M took the summer off from Shuffles Studio and Lulu is starting Shuffles for the first time in the fall.
Tonight was their mini-recital. Some of us moms helped Kristin make cute tees for them to wear and she found darling red and black bows to match.
This is a pose from their dance.
This is their "do a dance pose" pose. :)
Here are the cute "baby ballerinas" who danced to a song from Tangled. They were so stinkin' cute!
Then it was our girls' turn. Here's the link to watch it on youtube, here. They did great in classes and Lulu learned so much and did great keeping up. However...the second she got on stage, she froze! She started shrugging helplessly which led to tears and meltdown! :) She didn't run off the stage but she stood there helplessly while I kept trying to smile and give her the thumbs up to keep going! It was an interesting first time, but we're so proud of how well she did in class!
Afterward, we had treats and played freeze dance. A perfect short performance.
Flowers for my dancing divas! :)
Afterward, we took Grandma to Chik fil A for a treat. I love the new age of "mom can eat salads now!"
I'm excited for Lulu to start dance. It could be a long year though! :)
